The feasibility of expanding the Australian artichoke industry to export to the Northern Hemisphere was investigated. Potential export markets were identified through market indicators, telephone interviews with market agents or direct visits during an overseas study tour. Special attention was given to the USA and French markets. Market indicators suggest that France, the USA and Germany are the most promising export markets for Australia, but there could also be some potential for Italy, Spain and other
