During the period January to March 1995, I spoke with pastoralists in the Kimberley as part of the DroughtPlan project. The aim was to obtain detailed information about the range of management practices used in the region, and about how these cope with seasonal variations. As the project progresses, similar information is being collected from other parts of the Australian rangelands.
