Abstract: This Garden note describes the most common insect pests of citrus trees occurring in home gardens in Western Australia and their control using natural or low toxic chemical controls. Pests that are discussed include: citrus leafminer (Phyllocnistis citrella), lightbrown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana), native budworm (Heliothis punctigera), lemon bud moth (Prays parillis), mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata), weevils, scales, aphids, mealybugs, whiteflies, ants and honeydew producing insects, c sader bugs (Mictis profana), two-spotted mites (Tetranychus urticae), citrus bud mite (Aceria sheldoni), thrips, and non-insect pests such as birds, snails and slugs.
