Abstract: In order to retain good visual external and processing/crisping quality. Atlantic potatoes can only be stored at 10 or 15oC for about 6 weeks and no more than 2 months. Storage at ambient (20oC) should not be carried out for Atlantic. Cadima potatoes can be stored for 3 months at 10 or 15oC and 2 months at 20oC. Atlantic has severe sprouting problems. Atlantic harvested late in the season seemed to sprout more severely than those harvested earlier. There were no sprouting problems in Cadima in long term s
dima under the same treatment and same experimental conditions. The experimental results confirm literature claims that the glycoalkaloids concentrate in the skin and the layer just under the skin. Glycoalkaloids concentrate even more in the sprouts. Pr
