Alternative strategies to control ryegrass in wheat lupin rotations are worth approximately 15 dollars per hectare for each 50 percent reduction achieved in plant or seed numbers. Farmers should adopt any ryegrass strategy in addition to that normally practised, so long as the cost to control ratio is less than $15/ha/50 percent kill.
