Abstract: (En)
Singapore ants and coastal brown ants are two exotic ant species that are serious pests in Australia. Control of these ants is primarily by insecticidal sprays and has, up to now, proven difficult and ineffective. Trials in the report were primarily targeted at the control of Singapore ants. Coastal brown ants were included to broaden the potential market for an effective ant bait. Five types of fire ant bait, imported from the U.S.A., were tested against both ant species. Finitron (sulfluramid) and Amdro
