The Western Australian Dairy Farm has been developed to assist in assessing the impact which changes in farming practices and/or policy might have on dairy farm profit. The Model takes into account a wide range of variables such as calving periods, lactation patterns, nutritional requirements, pasture production, supplementary feed, stock selling strategies and irrigation practices. Management options can be fixed in the Model, enabling comparison of farm profit generated under different management option
