Abstract:
The Review Committee conducted sixteen public meetings around the State, attended by some 400 people representing LCDCs, Local Government, Agriculture Western Australia and other Government agencies as well as many people with related interests. One hundred and eight written submissions were received from groups and individuals.(En)
The resource will enable students to: realise that land degradaion is a major environmental and economic problem that affects all sections of rural and urban communities; appreciate the need for management of land resources; discuss why certain agricultural practices can lead to land degradation; discuss the causes, prevention and possible solutions for causes of land degradation; show a willingness to adopt land management practices for sustainable land use; appreciate the need to develop whole farm plan
