Phytophthora root rot is the most common soil-borne disease causing plant death in native cut flower production in Western Australia. This Bulletin discusses the distribution of Phytophthora, its biology, plants that it affects, the symptoms, sources and management of Phytophthora, including the use of resistant rootstocks, growing method, biofumigation, soil solarisation, water management and chemical control.
