The aim of this project was to look at methods of controlling the parasitic weed, Cuscuta planifolia, or dodder. It is known to have existed in Western Australia for many years and has the potential to become an established environmental weed. This could seriously impact on production and profitability of crops and pastures as dodder can successfully parasitise crops and reduce pod numbers by at least fifty per cent.
