Abstract: This video shows the advantages of making silage from the paddock. Silage keeps stock in better condition than hay as it is more nutritious. Silage should consist of half legumes and half grasses. The video goes on to show how and when to make silage, the equipment needed and how to store silage. There are various methods of storage depending on the amount to be stored.
