Abstract: This DVD discusses how the Goldfields Dust Abatement Committee has worked with government departments, including the Department of Agriculture, to revegetate the mine dumps around Kalgoorlie to reduce the amount of dust in the air. It discusses trials of various plants and methods of revegetating the steep sides of the dumps. There are now regulations on waste dumping to prevent dust problems occurring again. The mining companies now include revegetation work in their annual programmes.
