Abstract: (En)
The move from full tillage farming systems to minimum or no tillage systems in Western Australia has led to increased numbers of previously controlled insect pests and new insect pests in grain crops, particularly canola. Insect contamination is a problem for grain exporters and limits of contamination have been set but vary for different grains. High numbers of insects in the grain can taint processed products and the cost of cleaning has to be met by the grower. This project looked at potential controlsnd identification of pests and providing this information to growers and support providors.
