Organochlorine levels in cattle must stay below a regulatory Maximum Residue Limit. This Farmnote discusses management of organochlorine levels in cattle of various ages from calves through to weaners and on to yearlings. It also discusses management of organochlorine levels in store cattle and heavyweight steers and management adjustments that may be necessary. It also covers prediction of changes in residue levels and the legal requirements regarding organochlorine levels in cattle production in Westernustralia.
