The Indian ringneck parakeet Psittacula krameri is also known as the Indian ring-necked, rose-ringed or African ring-necked parakeet. It is a declared pest in Western Australia and any populations found in the wild are removed. This Pest note discusses the description, distribution and habitat, diet, life cycle, behaviour and damage caused by the Indian ring-necked parakeet as well as its pest potential in Australia and its current status and management.
