Various insects, nematodes, and mite pests can damage tomato crops in the home garden, and nematodes, russet mites, and budworms can be especially destructive. A description of the more important pests, such as fruit fly, aphids, budworm, cutworm, looper caterpillars, root-knot nematode, thrips, two-spotted mite, red spider mite, tomato russet mite, and whitefly, is given here together with methods for their control in Western Australia.
