In the hilly areas of the western wheatbelt of Western Australia and occassionally further east in lower rainfall areas, sufficient land slope and aquifer conditions may exist to create hillside seeps. Water quality at these seepage sites can vary from relatively fresh to saline. One option to help manage salinity in this area is installation of a siphon to lower the watertables.
