Abstract: While Treflan controlled grasses, this had no effect on leucaena survival. Basagran applied 32 days after sowing resulted in an increase in yield of leucaena at 50 days post sowing. However, by 225 days post sowing no treatment had a significant effect on leucaena survival or yield. Results suggest that the presence of weeds and grasses does not affect the establishment of leucaena where moisture is not limiting.
