Abstract: (En)
Seasonal variatios of climate and catchment water storage affect the partitioning of rainfall into evapotranspiration and runoff. This report provides a new approach to estimate the seasonality effect on catchment scale mean annual water balance. The approach is based on observed climate (rainfall and potential evapotranspiration) and streamflow data obtained from over 200 unregulated catchments in Australia. It assumes that catchment scale annual evapotranspiration consists of cliamte-controlled and stor
