The overall program objectives were: rehabilitation of degraded areas on the Esperance Downs Research Station to be demonstrated to restore agricultural productivity. Specific degradation issues addressed were salinity, waterlogging and wind erosion. The second objective was the demonstration of sustainable agricultural systems at a farm scale which either slow, halt or reverse land degradation while being profitable.
