The important wheat leaf diseases of wheat in Western Australia are Septoria nodorum, yellow spot, leaf rust, Septoria tritici blotch, stem rust and powdery mildew. This farmnote discusses integrated management practices aimed to minimise the impact of leaf diseases in wheat production. These practices include: crop rotation, destroying self-sown summer and autumn cereal volunteers, varietal resistance, disease free seed and fungicide sprays.
