This project investigated the currently registered method of butt drenching for its effectiveness in protecting deciduous fruit tree crops from damage by apple weevil (Otiorhynchus cribricollis Gyllenhal) and garden weevil (Phlyctinus callosus Boheman). Modifications were assessed as were other chemical and non-chemical means of excluding weevils from tree canopies and the role of prototype baits.
