A three year project to monitor the timing, numbers and species of aphids occurring in potato crops in the Scott River area in the Shire of Nannup, Western Australia near the coast was completed in June 1999. Winged green peach aphids (Myzus persicae) were recorded in October and November at most sites. However, of the winged aphids trapped, between 67 percent and 89 percent were non-colonising aphid species.
