Abstract: (En)
Merino sheepskins depilated with sulfide or acetate were found to have44e normal abrasion and flexing resistance using processes adapted for Merino sheepskins. These include minimising the potential for damage during initial processing and appropriate surface finishing. During initial processing damage was related to the degree and rate of swelling and to the amount of mechanical action during liming and deliming. The effects of swelling can be reduced by using smaller floats and by stepwise liming and de
