FiftyCnine (59) canola growers wre identified in the Lake Grace Advisory District in 1995. Thirty-one (31) growers (52.5% of growers) participated in this survey representing an area of 4,515 hectares.Thirteen percent (13%) of the growers surveyed were first year growers, 58% were second year growers, 20% were third year growers and 9% had grown canola for more than 3 years. These figures show the change in the adoption of canola throughout the Lake Grace Advisory District (LGAD) as 76% of growers in 1994
