Abstract: A whirligig mite was previously imported for the control of redlegged earth mite and established at two sites. The spiny snout mite was imported for the control of lucerne flea and established at three other sites. These predators were collected from the original sites and released together at many sites in WA and some sites in other States. Over 570,000 whirligig mites and almost 150,000 spiny snout mites were released. Most of the releases succeeded and resulted in the establishment of 100 new colonies
