The Northern Wheatbelt Model (NWM) is a version of MIDAS designed to model farming systems in the low rainfall zone (300-350 mm annual rainfall) of the northern agricultural region (NAR). It covers the area east of Geraldton spanning from south of Ajana to north of Perenjori. The aim of the project was to build on our previous successes in applying the model to farm management issues by operating the model within the region.
