Abstract: Sixteen experiments were conducted over a period of four years measuring wool growth and liveweight change. As well a range of techniques such as the use of radioisotopically labelled metabolites, dissection and histological sectioning, dyebanding, staple strength and measurement and determination of mean fibre diameter were used.
