The Congress was attended from 1-5 July. In addition, a visit was made to the School of Veterinary Studies at Bern. Despite considerable competition to present a paper at the Congress, the paper 'WESTERN AUSTRALIAN PIG HERD HEALTH MANAGEMENT SCHEME' by A.R. Mercy and J.T. Buddle was accepted. It appeared to interest the audience in that it generated questions than any other paper during the session.
