Abstract: A bioeconomic model combining population and cost revenue models was used to determine optimal levels of effort, harvest and population. The analyses show that the feral donkey population in the Kimberley should be controlled because despite extensive sensitivity analyses the optimal solution was to control at some level of effort. The value of damage had to fall considerably before control was an option.
