Abstract: (En)
Reduced tillering and conventional wheats were compared in relatively low rainfall environments in Western Australia. An attempt was made to delineate optimum patterns of growth, tillering and water use for the low rainfall zone of the Western Australian wheat belt.. The potential of reduced tillering wheats in dry environments was assessed in plant breeding trials which compared reduced and normal tillering lines from four crosses between common cultivars and a 'gigas' wheat. Overall, low tillering lines
