Perennial grasses provide a good feed source in most situations but occasionally livestock problems may occur in Western Australian pastures. This Farmnote covers potential problems and grazing management strategies with Rhodes grass (Chloris gayana), panic (Panicum spp.), kikuyu (Pennisetum clandestinum), setaria, signal grass (Brachiaria decumbens), buffel grass (Cenchrus ciliaris), premier digital grass (Digitaria eriantha spp. Eriantha), puccinella, tall wheat grass (Thinopyrum ponticum), para grass rachiaria mutica or Urochloa mutica), lucerne (Medicago sativa), and seed mixes.
