Research on the use of fungicide alternatives, potential use of a biological control agent was investigated, and soil amendment strategies (for example lime, compost) were compared with the use of registered chemicals to control Sclerotinia lettuce drop in Western Australia and Tasmania. Results of field experiments to control Lettuce big vein virus disease are also discussed.
