Abstract: (En)
The use of traizines such as atrazine and simazine has increased significantly with the widespread planting of triazine tolerant canola. This article shows the potential for carry over for these herbicides under a range of conditions. Simazine was used in the experiments and similar effects would be expected with atrazine. The main factors affecting degradation and carryover in soil were temperature, moisture, soil type and pH.
