Abstract: A survey of 60 wool growers from the Pastoral Region estimated that 3.2% of sheep producing 314t of greasy wool had not been treated with any chemical within the past 12 months. The remaining 96.8% of the sheep received at least one, off-shears, application of a chemical for the control lice. It is also estimated that 66% of sheep in the Region, cutting about 6,5000 t of greasy wool, were treated off-shears to control lice but were not treated for fly strike.
