In 3 separate experiments carried out in 3 years, supplementation with lupins (100 g/day), oats (120 g/day) or a lupin/oat mix (114 g/day) generally resulted in no significant differences in wool free liveweight change or clean wool growth rate of young sheep grazing annual pastures. There were also no significant differences between these supplements for wool production, fibre diameter, staple length or strength of the wool grown.
