This Garden note outlines water quality problems that may affect suitability of water for a healthy home garden in Western Australia. Information is provided on possible water quality problems when groundwater is applied to gardens. These factors include: salinity hazards, total solids, pH, iron content and in arid regions, the boron content. Details of analytical laboratories that test water are also provided.
