"The use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has become common place in the last few decades. If you fill up your car at a petrol station or walk through a railway station or entertainment precinct, there is a good chance your image will be captured on CCTV. CCTV can act as a visual deterrent to crime or antisocial behaviour as well as a means to assist in prosecution if an offence does occur. When actively monitored, CCTV can also be used to direct Police intervention before situations become volatil
