Abstract: This DVD discusses the causes and effects of wind erosion in Western Australia. The sandy soils and high winds in Western Australia contribute to wind erosion of soil. Wind erosion causes soil losses, land degradation and sand blasting of seedlings causing irreparable crop damage. Soil disturbance caused by cultivation, stock movement, overgrazing and stubble burning all cause soil losses leading to decreased crop yields. The DVD discusses ways of reducing these soil losses.
