When Peter and Jan Coffey purchased their 433-hectare property in 1992, they had three main aims : salinity control; profitable sheep grazing; and income from wood production. This Farmnote discusses their experiences in planting Tasmanian blue gums (Eucalyptus globulus), alley farming with crops and trees, timber production, impact on water tables and economics of their farming practices.
