The purpose of this report is to describe the factors that contribute to soil erosion in the Carnarvon horticultural area, Western Australia and provide guidelines for soil management. The guidelines for good soil management include: cover crops for vegetation cover, cultivation practice, conservation tillage for vegetable production, mulching crop residues, crop rotation, buildings and other construction and tracks and roads; soil management for floodways.
