Aim of the project was to review and focus on the role of physiology in wheat improvement, provision of research support with universities in Western Australia, including development of new methodologies and biotechnology approaches and supervision of students linked to germplasm improvement priorities for Western Australia. Research was focused on cereal improvement for tolerance to abiotic (climate and soil) stresses affecting cereals in Western Australia.
