These guidelines provide a summary of environmental best practice for production and retail nurseries in Western Australia, both large and small. The focus is on practices for containerised plant nurseries. Practices include: strategies for water efficiency and reducing water pollution, optimising the irrigation system, fertiliser and potting media management, pesticide management, chemical storage and handling, waste management, energy management, air emissions, and noise and vibration.
