Abstract: (En)
Wether trials are a genetic tool for commercial sheep breeders, useful for benchmarking the genetic performance of sheep flocks in Western Australia. Wether trials involve running representative groups of wethers from different flocks together at a common site, to be evaluated under the same management and feeding conditions. This Farmnote covers the aim of running linked wether trials, how to design and carry out the trials, options to improve the trials, information collected and analysis of data.
