Land use classes identified as benefiting from the introduction of either new, or improved, regional ecotypes are : (a) abandoned or marginal crop land (b) wet, grass or reed dominant cayir (c) grass dominant yayla (d) overgrazed meras of low plant cover. For (a) marginal or abandoned crop lands : (i) lucerne (ii) sainfoin (iii) vetches and (iv) annuals. (b) Wet meadows are potentially very productive lands. With even partial drainage reseeding with legumes will be worthwhile if they are grass or reed dom
