The major achievements of this project were to establish that medic pastures offer potentially better animal performance than ryegrass and are at least equivalent to subterranean clovers, which may or may not be easy to establish on soils suited to medic growth. The work has also highlighted the fact that medics need careful management, especially when considering seed reserves.
