Report on investigation of the persistence of major cropping weeds and testing the success of various strategies in driving seedbank decline in Western Australia. The seedbank decline rate differed substantially between weed species, some declined within the first year after seed set while others persisted for several years. methods evaluated for seedbank decline included shallow tillage, nitrogen application, non-wetting soil amelioration, green manuring, seed burial, windrow burning and smoked water.
