Abstract: (En)
The pig industry in Western Australia has enjoyed a long period of freedom from many major pig diseases, giving pig producers considerable trade advantage over competitors. This Farmnote covers national, interstate and individual farm biosecurity, threats from exotic and endemic diseases; and outlines a biosecurity plan which encompasses buying in stock, artificial insemination, animal identification, feeds, visitors, trucks, other animals, surveillance and quality assurance.
