Abstract: Project DAW150W1 was highly successful in evaluating some of the factors that can influence the relationship between grain protein percentage, and grain yield of wheat grown using the agronomic packages developed for the high yielding, long season environment in the south coastal regions of Western Australia. Briefly, the major findings identified were: grain protein does not always decline when grain yield is increased; increased root diseases in wheat can decrease total N uptake and hence grain protein;
