This report documents the practical and economic feasibility of on station harvesting and production of speargrass hay and haylage and its subsequent feeding to cattle and sheep in the extensive regions of south eastern Western Australia. Covers harvesting and making the hay, machinery used, economics of speargrass fodder conservation, costs of on station production, commercial viability, feed value of speargrass fodder in trials and feed supplements.
